Introduction
Talk Ports create bespoke tailored solutions for port authorities all over the world. Since inception they have successfully delivered these solutions to the majority of the major global port operators. In 2019 Talk Ports secured one of the biggest terminal operators in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Global Ports (SGP). The partnership continued successfully with uninterrupted support and upgrades throughout a major global pandemic.
The Project
Saudi Global Ports approached Talk Ports to supply Vehicle Mounted Computers into their Saudi Arabian Ports business This included 70 of their trucks and 25 Handheld computers within the port itself.
As with many projects, its wasn’t that simple, time and money played a major factor in securing this project… Saudi Global Ports had a specific budget to work with and needed all equipment delivered and installed within 6 weeks onto new equipment, so they could keep the business running 24hrs a day and a smooth transition with phasing in the new equipment and retiring the old equipment.
Solution

This was a project carried during the global pandemic – so everything was tough, Talk Ports managed the situation and were able deliver on time and on budget. This service is ongoing and they continue to provide follow up with a maintenance and support agreement to Saudi Global Ports making sure the port continues to operate at the highest level.
We engaged Talk Ports to supply and install some urgently needed Vehicle Mounted Computers, they completed on time by working round the clock on the supply and roll-out.
